Note from the Teacher

Hello everyone!  This has been a great week in Pre-K.  We’ve learned a lot about farm animals and gardening.  We are still anxiously awaiting our caterpillars to arrive.  They should be here by Monday.  I want to thank the Luyster Family for sending in the letter snack for this week.  Our class pictures were sweet J Looking forward to seeing them.  Don’t forget next week, we only have pre-K on Monday and Tuesday, due to staff development training Wednesday thru Friday.

Note from the Teacher

Hello everyone!  This week was filled with fairytales, horse races and a royal party.  It was lots of fun.  Another one of my favorite themes.  Monday, March 18th is early dismissal.  Pre-K pickup is at 11:00am.  Tuesday, March 19th is our field trip to the Clay Center to watch ”The Little Mermaid.”  We will be leaving at 9:30 and returning at 11:30 for lunch at the school.  I want to thank Evelyn’s Mom, Annie for the letter ”R” snack this week.  Our Book Fair will be this upcoming week.  We will be going during our Library time, which is Wednesday, March 20th at 9:00am.  Please send your child’s 12 filled Easter Eggs by March 25th.

Hello everyone!  Lots of learning and discovering happening in pre-k this week.  The students really enjoyed our D.E.A.R. day.  Thank you to Taran Wolford for bringing in Queso for our letter Q snack. This upcoming week will be very exciting.  We are starting our Fairytale theme.  We will end the week with a Royal Party, hosted by the Teacher.  We will even have horse races with the other pre-k class. Please feel free to go ahead and start sending in your child’s dozen of candy filled easter eggs for our hunt on the 28th.

Note From The Teacher

Hello everyone! We had lots of fun this week from Mari Gras Parade to Valentine Exchange.  We’ve learned about being loving and a good friend to one another.  Lots of friendship bracelets and cards were made this week.  Thank you to the Skaff family for the ”O” snack this past week.  This week we only have school four days; therefore, we won’t have letter bags.

Hello everyone!  Another wonderful week in Pre-K1.  We have been learning about friendships and kindness.  I enjoyed meeting with each of you for the parent/teacher conferences and sharing all the wonderful things your child has learned.  J  This week is a busy week.  We will have our Mardi Gras Parade around the school at 8:30am on Tuesday.  Parents are invited to come watch.  The students have made their own masks for the parade and are excited to wear them.  Also, Wednesday is our Valentine exchange.  Each student can bring a valentine for each of their classmates to hand out.

Note from the Teacher

Hello everyone!  This week we have learned about animals that hibernate and migrate during the winter.  I have finished my student assessments and look forward to parent/teacher conferences on February 7th.  You will need to call the front office and set up a conference time with Mrs. Thomas.  Preschool will not have school that day.  Conferences will be scheduled between 8:00am-6:00pm in 30-minute increments.  Thank you to the Gibson family for sending in the letter ”M” snack this week.  Thank you too everyone for working so hard on the Star of the Week projects with your child.  We really enjoyed each of them.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Note from the Teacher

Hello everyone!  This week we learned a lot about winter and weather..  They can not wait till we get some snow.  Thank you to the Wolford family for the letter “Ll” snack this week.  As you all know, this is the season for all sorts of illnesses.  Please talk to your child about covering their cough or coughing into their elbows.  Also stress the importance of washing hands throughout the day.  We will try our best to keep germs from spreading as much as possible.  No school on Monday or Tuesday this week.  Monday is MLK Day and Tuesday is a teacher in-service day.

Hello everyone!  It was a short week, but a busy week.  Everyone was excited to be back at school together.  This week we will talking about winter and weather.  Our Star of the Week will be Henry.  We are looking forward to learning more about him.  Our letter of the week will be ”Ll.”  The calendar I sent home said we would have ”Donuts with Dad” on Jan. 26th.  That is cancelled and will be scheduled closer to end of year.

Hello Everyone!  I can’t believe it is already the middle of November.  This school year is moving right along.  I can see how much each student has grown and learned.  They are making good progress.  Everyone enjoyed the field trip to the Clay Center Friday.  Thank you, parents who helped chaperone  Also thanks everyone for bringing in food for the Clay County boxes.  Thank you to Aiden’s Family for sending in the letter ”Ii” snack this past week.  The students are really enjoying the snacks and letter bags.    This upcoming week we will not have a letter bag or a Star of the Week, due to it being a two-day week.
