Literacy
1.  (Use items in your E-Day Bag). Draw a picture of your favorite part of today’s book in your Composition Book and dictate a sentence about it to your parent (who can write it next to your picture).  Allow children to mimic your writing, if interested.
2.  Rainbow Names
Tear rainbow colors of paper into small pieces and place in 6 stacks-one for each color of the rainbow.  Use a name card from your E-day bag, or print it largely yourself.  Glue red pieces around the 1st letter of your name, orange around 2nd letter, yellow around 3rd, etc…  Repeat rainbow colors if your name is very long.
Math
1.  Count as high as you can and identify the foam numerals from 1-10 in your E-Day Bag.
2.  Fruit Loop Rainbow
Draw a rainbow outline with crayons-red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple.  Give your child a bowl of fruit loops and have them sort the cereal colors and lay those around the rainbow outline.
3.  Rainbow Paper Chain
Cut rainbow colored paper strips 6” x 1” and let your child glue them in rainbow order.  Make the chain however long you’d like.
Count the number of links on your chain.
Arts/Sciences
1.  Eat the Rainbow!
Add assorted sliced fruits/veggies on a plate for a healthy & colorful snack.
2.  Paper Towel “Rainbow” Experiment
Materials:  markers, 2 glasses full of water, paper towels
Use a long rectangle strip of paper towel and use markers to
shade in both ends (3” from end and stop) in rainbow rows.
Draw 3” rainbow on left/middle part remains white/3” rainbow on right.
Place 2 glasses of water 6 inches apart and place one end of paper towel in each glass and watch your rainbow rows travel to make one gigantic rainbow!
