The children will be super excited for the season as our classroom becomes transformed into a Winter Wonderland. We will hear stories and rhymes, sing songs, make gifts and crafts, and play in our centers.
Our Centers will include:
‘The North Pole’ with a Christmas village in trains/legos,
a ‘Home Sweet Home’ area in dramatic play with a fireplace, Christmas tree, and gingerbread cookies to bake,
a children’s Nativity Set in our ‘religious area’ in blocks,
AND
a ‘Letters to Santa’ writing station in our library center.
Math-counting to 20, patterns, puzzles, sequencing, recognizing numerals, one to one correspondence, sorting, shape recognition, etc…
Religion-Jesus is our King.
Self-Help-unpacking book bags, opening snack items, putting on and zipping coats, cleaning up toys and after self all throughout the day, learning our daily schedule, walking safely places, being kind to one another so he/she becomes a good friend to all
