The Tiny Hearts have been busy creating unique holiday artwork.

We have an exciting week coming up.

Please refer to the handout if your child wishes to participate in daily themes.

This Friday will be our holiday party.

The children will decorate cookies and enjoy them for snack.

We will be reading “Twas The Night Before Christmas”.

We will enjoy Christmas music with musical instruments.

We will decorate a Christmas ornament to take home.

Reminder: Early dismissal, Friday 11:00 AM. No aftercare.

School will reopen January 3rd 2022!

Thanks so much to everyone who has sent books in for your child to share at circle.

Please continue to allow your child to bring them, as this helps enhance social and emotional skills.

Please remember to label any and everything your child brings to school including jackets and water bottles.

As the weather gets cooler, we still plan to go outside as much as possible, please remember to label jackets and all other belongings.

Tomorrow is birthday lunch. Hot lunch will consist of spaghetti and ice cream.

They have created a hand print tree, painted with leaves and are learning a new seasonal song.

Here you will find updates about your child’s week and reminders about upcoming events.

The children are settling nicely into the class routine and have enjoyed making new friends.

Please be sure your child wears a mask to school daily and send extras in case one becomes lost or soiled.

The children have been excellent about wearing their masks. Thanks so much for helping us enforce this school policy.

The children will be creating their own flag along with a variety of red, white, and blue activities to help celebrate Memorial Day.

The children have been enjoying spending time outdoors.

We have been searching for different signs of Spring.

We have been learning about birds, their nests, tadpoles and frogs.

The children learned about fire safety and practiced having a fire drill.

This week we will be talking about the color green. We will talk about things that are green and what colors can be mixed together to create green.

Thank you to Mrs. Duffield for providing a special snack for our St. Patrick’s Day party on Wednesday, March 17th.

We will have a variety of fun activities planned for the day.

This week we will be celebrating Dr. Suess’ birthday  . Each day of the week has a different theme. Participation is optional but we hope everyone has a great time either way!

Monday: If I ran the zoo day – Dress up like your favorite animal 

Tuesday: My many colored days – Wear as many colors as you can

Wednesday: Cat in the hat day – Dress like the cat or wear black/white and red

Thursday: Fox in socks day – Wear your favorite or silliest socks

Friday: Favorite Dr. Seuss book – Dress up as your favorite Dr. Seuss character

This week is also Book Fair Week at Taylor Books!

Mention Sacred Heart Grade School during your purchase and Taylor Books will donate 20% of all proceeds to SHGS.

I hope everyone has enjoyed having a couple of snow days.
